Next up in our series, we’re taking an inside look at the streets of Brazil for some casual, street-style-inspired fashion.
We’re not talking about the high-end fashion shows of the country nor anything as expensive as designer clothing. What we really want to see is what the everyday man wears on his day off.
So, whether you’re taking a trip to the beautiful country of Brazil or just want to adopt their stylings for yourself, here is an outfit inspiration you’ll absolutely love!
Elements of Brazilian Street Style
As you might (or might not) expect, Brazilian street style for men is similar to casual fashion in most other countries. The key difference, and the reason why we love this kind of streetwear, is that Brazil welcomes bright colors and flashy patterns into their outfits.
It’s a subtle difference, but it’s enough to really make you stand out in a crowd. These kinds of outfits are also extremely simple, which is great if you’re into lazy fashion.
Some popular items you’ll want on your shopping list would be soccer shirts (preferably Brazilian), linen button-downs, t-shirts, sandals, shorts, and comfortable-fitting jeans. You might already have some of these components, which is great if you’re on a budget.
One more thing to note: it’s hot hot hot year-round in Brazil, so most of these outfits are most suited for summer (that is if you live in an area with multiple seasons).
Brazilian Street-Style Outfit for Men
COOFANDY Mens Cuban Guayabera Shirt Casual Button Down Shirts Long Sleeve Beach Linen Shirts
In this outfit, I really wanted capture the laid back style of everyday Brazilian streetwear. In it's essence, I wanted it to be something you could wear to the beach, or for a casual outing with friends. It's not something immediately identifiable as an outfit from another country, but if you were to wear it in the streets of Brazil, you'd fit right in.
So firstly, we've got a comfortable linen button-down. The colors are pleasantly light and the patterns are unintrusive yet add texture to the outfit, which is why I think this is an excellent base to start with.

Jeans and long pants work fine, but khaki shorts or cargos are the way to go in my opinion.
More likely than not, you've already got a pair of pants that works with this outfit, but if you're looking to replace those old shorts with something new, then these are probably the best quality pair you'll find.

It's time to break out the slides because that's what Brazilian streetwear is all about! I prefer sandals, though, just because I think they exude a more "mature" look, which is an incredible contrast to the youthful nature of the style.

Natural Shark Tooth Necklace for Boys, Genuine Fossil Shark Teeth Jewelry for Men
The best way to round off this outfit is with a stylish necklace. Necklaces are common among Brazilian males and you can honestly use anything from a metallic cross to some festive beads.
My personal recommendation is a shark tooth necklace just because I had the beach in mind when designing this outfit and I really think it fits the vibe.
Bonus Outfit: The Soccer Enthusiast
Since the previous outfit was pretty simple, I thought I throw in another quick design.
This one is soccer (or rather football) based, and is a staple style of clothing in Brazil. It's no secret that soccer is a big part of the country's culture, and its residents love both playing it and watching it.
Here's a basic gist of it:
Your favorite Soccer Jersey
If you're an avid fan of soccer, then break out your favorite team's jersey as it's going to be the bread and butter of this outfit.
Since this design is based off of Brazilian style, my recommendation is obligated to be a shirt with the colors of Brazil's flag. This is perfect if you love Ronaldo, but if you don't, it's okay to pick a different country.

These shorts are the ideal match for your jersey, and I can say I'm quite a big fan of the minimalist, yet comfortable style. The material is high-quality and they're pretty economical, so there's virtually no downside to snagging yourself a pair.

After a visit to a few of Brazil's bustling cities and biggest tourist attractions, you'll quickly realize that the most popular footwear amongst men are white sneakers.
Did you think this outfit was complicated? Nope! Changing your wardrobe can be expensive, so I thought I'd start the men's portion of this series with an easy-as-can-be starter outfit (well get into some more intricate styles later on.)

There you have it! Simple, yet stylish (and practical) clothing you can wear during those hot August months. I know Brazil is an odd place to start, but I thought I'd kick off this series with something mildly unique, yet familiar to ease you guys in.
